Minnesota-based wedding photography with a focus on modern portraiture and timeless storytelling.

ABOUT

Growing up, I’ve always had a desire to create.

When I was young, I loved to draw and in high school it was music. During college, I went to school for graphic design. It wasn’t until after college that I found a medium I truly fell in love with; photography. What I love the most about photography isn’t that it’s a chance to make art, but that it’s a chance to create a memory that will live on for decades.

This is where documenting weddings stepped in. I found it as an opportunity to have my work be something more than a pretty picture. Instead, it can be a time capsule. I loved that. Documenting all of these incredibly fleeting moments for people in love became a passion. A passion that still burns bright, even after a decade in the field.

The longer I do this, the more apparent it becomes to create work that is timeless. That overused word still rings true to me and it’s a word I deeply want to be associated with my work. My desire is to remind you of the sights, smells, and feelings that surrounded you. We’ll get rid of the trends and capture the real. We’ll create a relationship that's based on collaboration and friendship. I want you to relive all of your favorite memories with the simple glance of a print.

I married my best friend which was easily the best decision I’ve ever made. We have two boys who routinely show me how our ability to love is forever growing.

I’m excited to hear your story, discuss your vision, and share with you my passion for storytelling.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where did GENEOH come from?

I grew up with the nickname Geno. Everyone called me by that, teachers, friends, my parents. When I started my business, I didn’t want to do Gene Pease Photography, so I devised a different spelling for my childhood nickname. My favorite part is that people still call me Geneoh, but they don’t know it’s been what most people have called me my entire life.

How many photos do you deliver?

Every wedding is unique, and my main focus is telling the day's story. That doesn’t always equate to an abundance of images. With that said, I typically deliver 400-600 finished images.

What’s included in the package we book?

Each package I offer is different, but they all include a wedding day coverage, a print release, an online gallery for viewing and ordering, and a digital download of all the final images.

How long until we see our photos?

A lot depends on when you get married but my contract says 4-6 weeks and I do well with sticking to that time frame.

Can we print through you?

While you do receive the print release with your finished photos, you can print through me. I print in-house using museum-quality paper from Hahnemuehle. I also work with a professional print lab when you order prints from your online gallery.

Do you travel for weddings?

Of course! Most of my work is done in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but one of my favorite opportunities this job provides me is the ability to travel and see the world while photographing my couples. I have special packages for domestic and overseas weddings. Just inquire for more information.

Do you shoot film?

I love film. In the last few years, it’s become a significant source of inspiration for me. Some of the weddings I photograph work well with the medium, but not all do. With this in mind, I stick primarily to digital as my go-to medium on a wedding day. For me, your wedding story unfolds quickly during the day, and I want to be ready when the moment counts. Digital allows me to quickly and efficiently tell your story. If we have time and the ability to slow down, I’ll most likely whip out a film camera for some portraits.

Do you have insurance? How about backup gear?

Yes, and yes. I wouldn’t leave the house without it.
